The City and Port of Limassol is home to some of the most important and impressive archaeological ruins on Cyprus, and  is the island's largest municipality. Situated in the centre of the southern coast-line of the Republic of Cyprus, it is the perfect location to serve Paphos, Nicosia and Larnaka.

Limassol is noted for its festivals, like the Carnival and Wine Festival. During the 10 day Limassol Carnival festival the town is filled with cheerful and amusing masquerades. The great Wine Festival of Cyprus takes place in the Municipal Garden of Lemesos (Limassol), every night between 8.00 hrs - 23.00 hrs during the first quarter of September. Entry to the festival is very cheap and visitors get to taste some of the finest Cyprus wines, which are all offered free of charge.
